OUR LEADERSHIP

AVRAHAM ROD SALINGER, CEO
Like many groundbreaking founders, Rod’s original motivation began as a hobby, flying his personal L39 aircraft. He is an entrepreneur, project engineer, IFR ME pilot, and systems integration test pilot with over 30 years of aviation experience.
Rod’s career in corporate aviation and business development began in 1980 as a junior mining engineer with Havilah Mining P/L, where he became the company’s chief pilot, managing flight operations across Australia. In 1983, he moved to Pacific Aviation, agents for Piper & British Aerospace, where he oversaw the entire aircraft sales process as Sales Manager. In 1987, Rod joined a privately-held Hong Kong company, directing their North American operations as Market Development G.M., where he managed aviation sales and corporate development for over 20 years.
In 2010, Rod embarked on an exciting journey to pioneer the future of advanced pilot training and aviation innovation. It all began with the acquisition of his first privately owned fighter jet, where he quickly recognized its commercial potential. With a visionary mindset and an unwavering commitment to aerospace excellence, he transformed this initiative into a groundbreaking aviation program.
As the lead designer of the Fx-700 program, Rod progressed from redesigning legacy aircraft through a series of iterative improvements to a bold, clean-sheet design that will deliver unparalleled operational performance. This revolutionary aircraft integrates cutting-edge aerodynamics, next-generation materials, and state-of-the-art flight technology, redefining the standards for advanced civilian pilot training and military combat readiness.
Rod’s approach to technological innovation is both strategic and results-driven. By seamlessly integrating proven aerospace technologies and rigorously testing concepts on AAS’s existing aircraft, he has established a program where each advancement is both efficient and effective. A prime example is the AAS ejection seat program, which will undergo live-fire airborne testing in Aero Attack Systems’ own L-39 aircraft, proving the seat’s reliability in real-world flight conditions.
Rod continues to lead the AAS team with a clear mandate: to push the boundaries of aviation technology and pave the way for the future of military and civilian pilot training.
